How to Use This Calculator Suite
Tap any tab above the card — Math & Sci, Loan & EMI, Mutual Fund, Bill Split, Percentage, BMI & Health, Age & Date, or Unit Converter. Only one panel opens at a time so the tool stays uncluttered on mobile.
Type into the input fields, drag the sliders, or tap the keypad — every calculator updates live or with a single button press, and number fields accept both typed values and slider drags that stay in sync.
Results appear directly below the inputs, broken into the figures that matter — EMI and total interest, invested amount vs. estimated returns, per-person bill total, BMI score and category, or the converted value.
Use the copy buttons to grab a result straight to your clipboard, or open the calculation history on the Math & Sci tab to reuse an earlier answer without retyping it.
Scientific Calculator: Full Guide
The Math & Sci tab works as two calculators in one. Standard mode handles everyday arithmetic — addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and square roots. Switching to Scientific mode reveals a second layer of functions: sine, cosine, tangent and their inverses, base-10 and natural logarithms, powers (x², x³, xʸ), roots (√, ∛), reciprocals (1/x), factorials, the constants π and e, and full parenthesis support for multi-step expressions.
Degrees vs. radians
Trigonometric results depend on angle mode. The DEG/RAD toggle in the top bar switches between them — DEG treats the number you enter as degrees (the everyday choice for geometry and construction problems), while RAD treats it as radians (the standard for calculus and physics). Forgetting to check this toggle is the most common reason a trig result looks wrong.
sin(30) and pressing = returns 0.5, matching the standard sine value of a 30° angle.Memory keys and history
M+ adds the current result to memory, M- subtracts it, MR recalls the stored value into your expression, and MC clears memory back to zero — useful for running totals across several separate calculations. Every result you calculate is also logged in the History panel (tap 🕘 History), showing the full expression next to its answer; tapping any past entry loads that result straight back into the display.
History is stored only in your browser tab for this session and clears on page refresh — nothing is saved to a server.
Loan, EMI & Prepayment Guide
EMI stands for Equated Monthly Installment — the fixed amount you repay every month on a loan, combining both principal and interest so the balance reaches zero exactly at the end of the term. Enter the loan amount, the annual interest rate, and the term in years under Standard EMI, and the calculator applies the standard amortization formula to return your monthly payment, total interest paid over the life of the loan, and the total amount repaid.
What changes your EMI
Three levers move the payment: a larger principal or a higher interest rate both push EMI up, while a longer term brings the monthly figure down but increases total interest paid — so a lower monthly payment isn’t automatically the cheaper option once you look at the full repayment total.
Prepayment Impact mode
Switch to Prepayment Impact to see what happens if you pay a lump sum toward your loan partway through the term. Enter the one-time prepayment amount and which month it’s applied, then choose whether it should reduce your tenure (keep the same EMI, finish paying off sooner) or reduce your EMI (recalculate a lower monthly payment over the remaining original term). Either way, the calculator runs a full month-by-month amortization simulation to show exactly how much total interest you save.
SIP vs. Lumpsum vs. Goal SIP: Complete Mutual Fund Guide
A SIP (Systematic Investment Plan) means investing a fixed amount every month, letting your contributions and their returns compound over time — this is also how the calculator’s SIP mode works, using the standard SIP future-value formula that compounds each monthly instalment at your expected annual rate. A Lumpsum investment is a one-time amount left to grow through ordinary compound interest, compounded annually at the same expected rate.
Lumpsum example: A one-time investment of ₹1,00,000 at an expected 10% annual return over 15 years grows to approximately ₹4,17,725.
Goal SIP: working backward from a target
Most people plan around a goal first — a down payment, a child’s education, retirement — rather than an arbitrary monthly figure. Goal SIP mode solves the SIP formula in reverse: enter the amount you want to end up with, your expected return rate, and your time horizon, and it tells you the exact monthly SIP required to reach it.
Which one is right for you?
SIPs spread your entry across market ups and downs — a concept often called rupee-cost averaging — which can smooth out volatility if you’re investing from regular income. A lumpsum puts your entire amount to work from day one, which can outperform a SIP in a rising market but carries more timing risk if invested right before a downturn. Goal SIP is less a third strategy than a planning tool — use it to size a regular SIP around a target, then switch to plain SIP mode to track it going forward.
This calculator gives illustrative, formula-based projections only. Mutual fund returns are market-linked and not guaranteed — actual results will differ from any estimate shown here, and this is not investment advice.
Bill Split & Tip Calculator Guide
Enter the bill amount, choose your currency, and optionally add tax/GST and a tip — then set how many people are splitting it. The tip is calculated on the bill plus tax, matching how most restaurants and receipts present it. Tipping is entirely optional: switch to No Tip to remove it from the calculation completely, useful for delivery orders, takeout, or regions where tipping isn’t customary.
Quick tip presets vs. custom
Tap a preset (10/15/18/20/25%) for a common tip rate, or drag the slider for anything in between — the two stay in sync, so a preset highlights only when its percentage is actually selected, and typing a custom value clears the presets automatically.
Percentage Calculator Guide
The first mode answers “what is X% of Y?” — handy for tips, discounts, taxes, and commissions. The second mode calculates the percentage change between two numbers, showing whether it’s an increase or a decrease, which is useful for tracking price changes, salary hikes, or growth rates.
BMI Calculator Guide + WHO Chart
Body Mass Index divides your weight by the square of your height to give a quick screening number for whether your weight falls in a typical range for your height. Switch between metric (cm/kg) and imperial (inches/lbs) using the unit selector — the calculator converts automatically.
| Category | BMI Range |
|---|---|
| Underweight | Below 18.5 |
| Normal weight | 18.5 – 24.9 |
| Overweight | 25.0 – 29.9 |
| Obese | 30.0 and above |
BMI is a general screening tool, not a diagnosis. It doesn’t distinguish muscle mass from fat, so it can read high for muscular athletes and doesn’t capture body composition or fat distribution. Consult a healthcare professional for a full assessment.
Age & Date Calculator Guide
Pick a date of birth and the calculator computes your exact age in years, months, and days as of today, along with total days lived and a countdown to your next birthday. It’s useful for eligibility checks (voting, retirement, school admission age cut-offs), form-filling that requires an exact age rather than a rounded one, and simple birthday planning.
